  • Page 5 B) Powering On the Robot Robot There is a red power button on the fan side of the robot’s main chassis, opposite of the battery door. Power On: Insert the battery into the robot, or if the robot is in sleep mode, hold down the power button for 2-3 seconds and release.

  • Page 7 Caster Wheel Assembly: Install the caster wheel bracket assembly using included M4 by 12mm screws and a flat screwdriver. Apply mild-medium thread locking compound if needed. Flippers: Flippers install the same way as wheels, but they also have a secondary engagement on the inner shaft.
  • Page 8 2) Battery A) Charging the Battery Outside of the Robot ● After removing the battery from the Open Rover, align the charger and battery connectors and plug the adapter into an AC wall outlet. ● Battery is fully charged when the indicator on the top of the battery shows 5 full black bars, or when the indicator light on the top of the charger turns green (if you choose to, it is alright to leave the battery on the charger).
