UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY Fitting of Throttle Cable Remove air filter cover. Refer to Fig. 5 Remove air filter. Refer to Fig. 6 Remove X2 screws from air filter base. Refer to red circles in Fig. 7 Remove air filter base. Refer to Fig. 8 When mounting up the throttle cable there is two options, Option 1- Z shape cable to be mounted in hole on throttle linkage.
WARNING Study safety instructions carefully before use GETTING STARTED Ensure mower is on level ground. Fill the oil to the top of the crankcase with SAE 30 Engine Oil. Refer to Fig. 13 Fill the fuel tank with Unleaded fuel. Refer to Fig. 14 Check spark plug cap is connected.
STARTING Ensure engine switch is “ON”. Refer to Fig. 16 Slide the throttle to Turtle position. Refer to Fig. 17 Slide the choke (A) to the “ON” position. Slide the fuel (B) to the “ON” position. STOPPING Slow the engine RPM back to Turtle on throttle control. Refer to Fig. 23 Release the hand clutch. Refer to Fig. 24 Disengage the blade driver lever. Refer to Fig. 25 Turn engine switch “OFF”. Refer to Fig. 26 Turn fuel off.
WARNING Turn engine off before fitting or emptying catcher. FITTING AND EMPTYING THE CATCHER Ensure the engine is stopped prior to removing the catcher. The grass catcher is fitted by holding the top of the drum and hooking the bottom section to the locating pegs (A), the catcher then sits on the rubber stops (B) either side of the chassis.
WARNING Ensure engine is stopped before making any adjustment. The engine switch must be in “OFF” position and spark plug lead disconnected. GRASS DEFLECTOR The angle of the grass deflector can be adjusted to direct the flow of the cut grass in to the catcher. Loosen thumbscrews.

BLADE SETTING It will become necessary to reset the blade after continued use. The rotating blade is correctly adjusted when it is lightly touching the bottom blade.

CLUTCH AND DRIVE WHEEL CHAINS These 2 chains are adjusted together. Loosen the two lock nuts. Refer to red circles Fig. 40. Slide the large sprocket upwards until chain has 5-6mm up and down movement.
MAINTENANCE ENGINE: Check the oil levels on the engine. Refer to owner’s manual. GENERAL: Regularly check and tighten all nuts and screws. Remove grass from around bearings on blade shaft. HANDLE ADJUSTMENT Remove chain cover. Refer to Fig. 42. Loosen four bolts on lower handle. Refer to Fig. 43. Adjust handle to required height up or down.

Refer to the engine warranty statement in the Engine Owner’s Manual which has been included with this machine. As the warranty may differ, you are advised to read the engine warranty carefully. For other items, this warranty shall apply for a period of 4 years from date of purchase for domestic use and for 90 days for commercial use and hire.
