To assist with this it is important the Installers realise that there is no such thing as a silly question. If they are not certain of anything to do with the Protectant™ Termite Barrier System or Installation Process they are to ask questions and obtain clarification or guidance as the need may be.
  • Page 96 When involved in a process utilising the Protectant™ Termite Barrier System materials, Installers must make a point of being aware of what others are doing around them. What you are doing may not be a problem in itself, but in conjunction with another procedure being performed in your vicinity a potential hazard may arise.
  • Page 97 Also, as dose increases, generally so does the severity of the injury. Keep in mind that a small dose may not lead to immediate injury, but longer-term problems may arise. Another term that is important to dosage is threshold. Threshold is the dose at which a chemical begins to be harmful. TWAC Installation Manual Ver: 0118 CodeMark™ CMA-CM40036...

Exposure levels for any of the ingredients found in any of the Protectant™ Termite Barrier System Components are recorded on the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets. Spilled material that is collected must be allowed to dry and is then to be placed in these waste containers.
  • Page 106 Original Release 1.0 Overview The hazards associated with handling the individual components of the Protectant™ Termite Barrier System vary markedly. Therefore, the clothing requirements also vary according to which component is being used. • Page 150 In some cases due to space restrictions, it may not be possible to fit rigid Penetration Flanges. If it is necessary, use Protectant™ Termite Barrier and zip ties. The Protectant™ Termite Barrier should be firm and neatly trimmed to increase the opportunity for the concrete flow under and around the cluster.
  • Page 151 Hebel Panel Surface Preparation Clean the slab edge and Hebel Panel of dirt, debris, oil, dust, etc. and remove the loose particles of the Hebel Panel with a wire brush. Once done, use banister brush or blower to clear it away. All surfaces must be firm, clean, dry, sound and smooth. ACP Hebel Panel installation manual, V.
  • Page 152 Prime the clean and dry surfaces for better adhesion, with a brush or spray bottle to the height of the ‘V’ joint (floor level). Concrete must be allowed to cure for 28 days prior to the application of Protek WPU. As the Hebel Panels are porous in nature, they must be sealed — no exceptions.
  • Page 153 Perimeter Barrier Installation Run a line across the Hebel Panel at finish floor height. Apply a 20mm bead of ADULETH Termiticide on the join of the Hebel Panel and rebate. Then, using a trowel or gloved fingers, smooth out the bead of ADULETH Termiticide to form a solid barrier with the rebate and the Hebel Panel.
  • Page 154 Protek WPU cannot span gaps for dynamic cracks, therefore any imperfections in the base of the Hebel Panel are to be repaired by filling them with ADULETH Termiticide.
