Direct-Fit Cab Heater with Defrost
STEP 1: PRE-INSTALLATION
1) Remove the main skid plate (PIC01).
2) Remove the front hood panel (PIC02).
3) Remove over flow tank bracket and set the tank to the front of the machine (PIC02).
4) Unsecure factory wiring loom and tie out of the way with a zip tie (PIC03).
STEP 2: INSTALL LOUVERS
5) Use the Defrost Louver cut-out template included in the Instructions and tape it to the
front edge of the middle dash. Mark the spots where you will start the drill bit for your
(2) defrost louver holes.
6) Drill the (2) defrost holes using a 2.5" hole-saw and install the two louvers (PIC04).
These are 2-piece louvers, screw the face off the adapter and set the face in the
hole then screw the adapter on from the back.
Install the duct clips on the adapters.
7) From the duct provided, cut (2) 24" pieces and install them to the backside adapter of the
louvers with the zip ties provided.
8) Using a 2.5" hole-saw drill out the holes for the floor louvers (PIC05).
Screw the face off the adapter and set the face in the hole then screw the adapter
on from the back.
Install the duct clips on the adapters.
9) Cut (2) pieces of duct at 24" and secure them to the backside adapter of the floor louvers
using the zip ties provided.
10) Later in the install you will connect the (4) runs of duct to the heater, you can leave them
hang for now.
STEP 3: WIRING
11) Install the provided Inferno rocker switch in one of the factory switch openings.
12) Using the wiring harness provided, plug the switch connecter into the back of the rocker
switch.
13) Using the wiring harness provided, plug the OEM connector into the factory 12v
accessory connector (PIC06).
14) Leave the high/low (orange/yellow) fan wires, this will be connected to the heater box in
STEP 4.
STEP 4: MOUNTING THE HEATER
15) Set the heater in the hood opening (PIC08) and connect the high/low (orange/yellow)
wire connectors to the heater box resistor (PIC07).
16) Connect the (4) runs of duct with the zip ties provided (PIC08).
