CONFIDENTIAL Procedures Step 1: Installing the PassTime Device Harness The PassTime Device Harness is a 5 wire harness that provides necessary connections to the GPS device. 1. Install the PassTime Device Harness by making the Electrical Connections listed below. Important! Do NOT plug the Device Harness into the GPS device until all wire connections have been made. -

“OFF” position. Be sure to verify that there is still power on the ignition wire when the key is in the start (crank) position. It is best to verify the voltage using a multi-meter. PassTime recommends that you avoid using a 12 volt light tester. PassTime GPS Install Guide v 2.5 Pg. -
Page 6: Interrupting The Starter Wires
It is important to note that after the starter wire has been cut, and you are connecting the blue and purple wires from the PassTime harness, that PassTimes purple wire is connected the solenoid, or starter side of the wire, and PassTimes blue wire is connected to the Key side of the wire, or the side of the starter wire that runs up the key. -

12v source, but typically it can be located in the steering column wiring harness. It is best to verify the voltage using a multi-meter. PassTime recommends that you avoid using a 12volt light tester. -

Using the two black ties provided, mount the module to existing vehicle components. Important! Make sure the GPS unit is installed with the TOP SIDE UP (indicated on the device case) and has a clear line of sight to the sky. If the Internal GPS antenna is receiving a signal, the displayed map will show your location. If your location does not display, contact PassTime Technical Support at (800) 865-3260 5. You can now turn off the engine. -
