Failure to follow all safety instructions can result in serious personal injury or death. Do not allow children or untrained individuals to use Human Hoist.

    Operation IMPORTANT: Before using your Human Hoist for work take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the controls and operation. Practice lowering and raising the chair at different speeds using the throttle trigger to move fast and slow. Find and operate the brake on each wheel, operate the headrest with the chair all the way down, and practice rolling from one area to another.
  • Page 7 CAUTION: Always set direction first by pressing both handles in the same direction (away for down, to the rear for up) before pressing the throttle trigger. Changing direction with the throttle engaged can cause erratic operation and relay damage. 4. To Lower the Chair – 1) first, press both control handles forward, away from you, until they stop, then, 2) Slowly pull the throttle trigger (right side handle standard) until the chair begins to move.

    Adjustments Backrest The Human Hoist backrest is adjustable in approximately 10-degree increments. The backrest has 3 distinct modes. 1. Creeper Mode – in this mode the backrest will descend to a flat creeper position every time Human Hoist is lowered to the lowest position. Creeper Mode is the default mode and requires no adjustments unless Human Hoist has been set to Chair Mode.

  • Page 11 Backrest Seat Lock – Chair Mode: With Human Hoist in the fully upright position, pull the uppermost wire handles on the seat back adjuster forward. The backrest will tilt forward slightly and remain there when the adjusters are released. This detent will keep the seat back in the fully upright (seated) position throughout the entire travel of the chair and will not auto-release when the chair reaches the fully upright position.
  • Page 12 Handle Width Handle width is adjustable to provide added seating space when needed. Each handle has 3 positions to increase available seat width by a total of 5”. To adjust the handles, remove the clevis pin at the front of the control unit and slide the handle out to the desired position.

    Battery Care and Maintenance Lithium Iron Battery Packs deliver fade free power for their entire run time. The supplied lithium-ion batteries will not gradually lose power due to decreasing battery charge. Instead, power from the battery pack will drop from full to zero once the full charge has been drained from the battery.

    Routine Maintenance The Human Hoist Power Shop Chair is designed for years of trouble-free service with no mechanical maintenance. The only maintenance required is to remove the batteries and wipe the seat and frame with a damp cloth occasionally to remove dirt and accumulated debris.

    These batteries have been designed to provide maximum trouble-free life. However, like all batteries, they will eventually wear out. Do not disassemble battery pack and attempt to replace the batteries. Handling of these batteries, especially when wearing rings and jewelry, could result in a serious burn.
