ColorDMD STERN White Star Display Installation Instructions

Congratutions on the purchase of a new ColorDMD display. The ColorDMD
will enhance your pinball machine by introducing color to the dot matrix
display graphics produced by the game.

Tools Required :

Be sure to turn OFF the power to the pinball machine before

installing the ColorDMD display.
Carefully remove the translite from the backbox and then lower

the speaker panel to the position shown in Fig. A to gain access

to the backbox.
5v Power Cable (J-3)
Plasma DMD Assembly
DMD Power Cable
Disconnect the DMD power cable from the DMD and from CN2 on
the Display Power Supply Board in the backbox. Also disconnect

5v power cable at J-3 on Display Controller Board. Completely
remove the DMD power cable wire harness from the game.
Disconnect both ribbon cables from J1 and J2 on the Display Controller

Board. Remove the Display Controller Board from the metal

bracket on the DMD assembly.
Remove the eight DMD assembly mounting screws. Remove

the original DMD assembly from the game and store it in

a safe place.
