MANUAL
Manual Aquastove
Congratulations with the purchase of your Aquastove. You have
purchased a very high quality Dutch product. The Aquastove is
manufactured from Stainless steel 316 and concrete. Note; before
starting to use the Aquastove read this manual carefully and store
it at an easy access place near the Aquastove. This way you can
always read it when necessary. We wish you many pleasant warm
baths.
INTRODUCTION
The Aquastove is developed for people who enjoy the outdoor
life, and want to combine relaxing with some active preparation.
When you have read the manual you might think that it is not very
easy to use the Aquastove. However, you will learn that it is much
simpler than it seams and you will get the right feeling to operate
the Aquastove and heat your pool very fast.
Important safety instructions!
Read the full instruction
before using the Aquastove
The Aquastove may never be used without water
circulation
When the Aquastove is still warm, and water
circulation is stopped, you need to disconnect the
Aquastove directly. This needs to be done at both the
water flow to and from the Aquastove. Otherwise the
water might boil and build up steam, which can lead to
dangerous situations. The water flow from the Aquastove
needs to be disconnected because there is a possibility of
creating a vacuum, which will keep the water flow to the
Aquastove. The upper connections piece is the water from
the Aquastove (A) and the bottom connection piece is the
water flow to the Aquastove (B), see image on the other side.
BE CAREFULL WITH CHILDREN. Keep children and pets away
from the open fire. Never leave the Aquastove burning
without supervision. When the Aquastove is used normally
the outside will only feel warm and will not get very hot, this
part of the Aquastove is not dangerous. The top plate and
chimney will get very hot. Also it is possible that small burning
parts escape through the chimney and/or the fire opening on
the front of the Aquastove. Pay attention to other dangerous
situations which might occur. Mount a spark-catcher on the
chimney when flammable objects are near the Aquastove.
Pay extra attention in dry periods. The government might
even forbid open fire. Always and only use well dried wood
which is not treated with paint or other chemicals.
•Only use the Aquastove outdoor.
Possibilities:
The "Aquastove" can be used in three set-ups
1)
The Aquastove hot tub heater
2)
The Aquastove swimming pool heater
3)
A combination of swimming pool and hottub heater
1) The Aquastove hottub heater
It is very easy to connect the Aquastove to your hottub. By
connecting a small pump (which is resistant to water of 40ºC or
higher) to the drain of your hottub and the bottom opening op
the Aquastove, you start the flow to the Aquastove. The warm
water will rise in the Aquastove and through the top opening
the water will flow back through a hose in your hottub. It is best
to place a valve in the flow to the Aquastove, which enables you
to regulate the flow and as such controls the temperature of the
water leaving the Aquastove.
Light the Aquastove and start a small flow of water. When the
water exiting the Aquastove is too hot (use a thermometer to
check this and do not use your hands) then you increase the
water flow by opening the valve. When the exiting water is too
cold you either add wood to your fire or decrease the water flow.
When the water has reached a temperature of 5ºC below the
desired temperature you can slowly let the fire in the Aquastove
get smaller by making the front opening smaller. If you keep a
strong fire in the Aquastove the water in your tub will get too
warm. When the water in the tub has reached the desired
temperature, just keep a small fire in the Aquastove.
When you want to stop burning the Aquastove let the fire exhaust.
Then turn of the pump and disconnect both openings to the
Aquastove, which will drain the stove. Depending on the weather
and temperature outside, the water in your tub will stay on a nice
temperature for a long time.
2) The Aquastove swimming pool heater
The Aquastove can heat your swimming pool in different ways
A)
when filling (up) your pool
B)
with a separate pump
C)
Integrated in your swimming pool filter installation.
Always have this installed by a certified installer.
A)
When you are filing up the swimming pool by using the
hose. Connect the hose to the entry (B) of the Aquastove
and get the water flow from the exit (A) to your swimming
pool. First you open the valve to start the water flow.
Then you start the fire in the Aquastove. Open the valve
so much that warm to hot water flows in the pool. Make
sure that the water in the Aquastove does not start to boil.
When you want to stop heating and filling your pool, first
disconnect the entry (B) and exit (A), this will cause the
Aquastove to drain. Slowly let the fire exhaust.
B)
By using a separate pump. You start the water flow through
the Aquastove and then start the fire. When you want to stop
heating the water simply let the fire exhaust. Only then, switch
off the pump. When you want to stop heating your pool
sooner, then disconnect the Aquastove first (both A and B),
enabling the Aquastove to drain. Advantage: your swimming
pool pump can follow its regular cycle, without you needing
to take in consideration the minimum water flow, needed to
operate the Aquastove.
C)
Completely integrated in your swimming pool installation.
You create a by-pass from your pump/filter installation to
your swimming pool. Ensuring that the water does not
(completely) flow back to the pool, but (partially) flows
through the Aquastove. By using a valve, on the by-pass to
the Aquastove and the flow directly to the pool you manage
