    After this period, the drysuit must be checked annually by an authorized service center. Its lifespan can be extended from year to year. WARRANTY The purchase of a SF Tech drysuit gives access to a free annual control. SF Tech offers a lifetime warranty on seams and workmanship, and the following durations: ‹ Neoprene or Trilaminate fabrics: 5 years.

    2. DISCLAIMER WARNINGS ‹ Read this entire manual carefully before using the drysuit. Keep it for future reference. ‹ This manual should not be used as a substitute for drysuit training. ‹ This diving drysuit is intended for use by a certified diver who has successfully completed a course in the use of drysuit or by a diver in training under the supervision of a qualified instructor.

    The overall fabric undergoes a second compression process in a hyperbaric chamber. This process create a thin, flexible and dense neoprene trilaminate. By using neoprene as a waterproof medium instead of butyl, flexibility et heat insulation are substantially enhanced. The suit is assembled with triple stitch seams and the inside is sealed with 3-5 layers of urethane sealant. SIZING We believe that each individual is unique, therefore all SF Tech drysuits are made to measure.

    4. ZIPPER SF Tech drysuit are equipped with a metal YKK Proseal® Zipper. The waterproof zipper provides a watertight fastener for the drysuit. It is a fragile yet essential part of the suit and should be treated with the utmost care. The larger teeth visible on the outside of the zipper are clamps that secure the smaller teeth, visible on the inside surface of the zipper.

    5. LATEX WRIST AND NECK SEALS All SF Tech Drysuits come standard with latex wrist and neck seals for watertight integrity. USAGE Always use caution when pulling on the wrist and neck seal. Do not use excessive force and avoid contact with sharp objects, like rings and fingernails, as it might damage the seals. To facilitate donning and doffing, dust the inside of the seals with unperfumed talcum powder. Do not put too much talc as the excess will go in the drysuit and might clog up the dump valve over time. TRIMMING THE SEALS To provide a comfortable yet watertight seal, it might be necessary to trim the latex seals. The latex seals are tapered and have multiple trim lines over the end. Carefully cut off one section at a time with a sharp scissors to achieve a snug fit. Always use sharp scissors and cut the seal as smooth as possible.     6. FITTING AND USAGE PRE-DIVE ‹ Before each dive, make sure the suit is in good working condition. ‹ Check the overall condition of the suit, looking for tear, hitch or hole. ‹ Inspect the seams, making sure none of the threads are broken. ‹...
  • Page 10 Starting with the left arm first, grab the wrist of the undergarment and slip the arm into the sleeve. ‹ Let go the undergarment when reaching the wrist seal. Gently push your hand through the wrist seal. Make sure the undergarments are not caught between the seal and the wrist or it will leak. Pull the shoulder of the suit all the way to the neck.

    ‹ Attach a low pressure hose to the inflation valve and make sure the valve is working properly. ‹ To check the exhaust valve, turn it open, crouch to your knees and check if the air escapes from the valve. ‹ Put on the hood over your head. The neck of the hood can be tucked under the neoprene collar of the suit for a better insulation. DOFFING ‹ Take off the drysuit following the same procedure as donning, but in reverse order. Make sure the waterproof zipper is COMPLETELY OPEN before removing the suit. ‹...

    After each dive, complete the pre-dive checks and thoroughly inspect the suit for any new possible damage that may have appeared during the dive. If any repair has to be made, contact the manufacturer, or take the suit to an authorized SF Tech dealer. CLEANING After each dive, thoroughly rinse the outside of the suit, the seals and the valves with clean fresh water.     All SF Tech drysuits come standard with a hood, a bag and a 90cm low pressure inflator hose. In addition, the suit can be equipped with various options as shown in the drysuit specifications. POCKETS The SF Tech Pocket is the perfect accessory to store your diving equipment while diving. Spare mask, surface marker, spool and various other items. The main pocket has an internal volume of 2.5 liters and is equipped with a d-ring and 2 strings to attach your equipment.

    4. REISSVERSCHLUSS SF Tech Trockentauchanzüge werden mit einem Metall YKK Proseal® Reißverschluss ausgestattet. Der wasserundurchlässige Reißverschluss bietet einen wasserdichten Verschluss für den Trockentauchanzug. Es handelt sich dabei um einen fragilen und dennoch wesentlichen Bestandteil des Anzugs und sollte mit größter Sorgfalt behandelt werden.     ALLERGIEN Ein kleiner Prozentsatz der Bevölkerung zeigt eine allergische Reaktion auf die Proteine, welche sich in Naturkautschuk-Latex befinden. Die Allergie tritt in der Regel nach wiederholtem Kontakt mit Produkten aus Naturkautschuk-Latex auf, welches in den Arm- und Halsmanschetten enthalten ist. Diese Allergie kann von einem leichten Hautausschlag bis zu schweren lebensbedrohlichen Reaktionen reichen.
