2.1
The Johnson & Starley Cleanflow
Petite is a portable Electronic Air
Cleaner, which has been designed
to provide an unobtrusive means of
efficiently cleaning the air of dust,
pollen and even smoke. It is
supplied with a hook which fits
into the carrying handle for wall
mounting, if required (fixing
screws and plugs not supplied).
3.
3.1
The Petite may be operated at two fan speeds, High and Low. At high speed the unit, if positioned in an open area, will
change the air in an average sized living room approximately four times an hour and is intended to act as a 'boost' control.
The Low speed setting is for continuous use, (i.e. at night), to maintain low levels of dust etc. and equally where noise level
is important.
4.
4.1
The only maintenance required is to remove the Cleaner element approximately every fortnight and inspect it for buildup of
dust and deposits, and if necessary remove deposits from the screens; and periodically replace the Cleaner pads.
Note: If the cleaner pads are allowed to collect too much dust, operation of the Air Cleaner may become ineffective.

2.2
The heart of the Petite is two
special electrically charged glass
fibre pads mounted inside a
retaining frame with a central
screen between the pads. Dust and
other particles are drawn through
these pads at the front of the unit
where they are attracted to the
fibres and retained. These particles
themselves, however, are not
charged, so any which escape are
not attracted to walls, curtains,
furniture etc. Clean air is
discharged at the sides of the unit.
