Preparing Your Kettle Base IMPORTANT: Place your kettle base on a flat, stable level heat and water resistant surface away from any hot surfaces or appliances. Never place any items under the kettle base. Ensure you have approximately 20 cm clear around the sides of you kettle. Unwind the desired length of power cord from the underside of the kettle base.
Using Your Kettle Remove the lid from your kettle by pressing the two lid locks inwards (1) and then lift the lid upwards (2) to remove. When your RediKettle is empty or the water level is low you will need to top up the water to your desired level.

Using Your Kettle (cont...) Ensure the lid is always positioned securely on the RediKettle. Push down on the lid until it locks with a click. Important: The lid acts as a seal storing heat inside the RediKettle. When the lid is not on the RediKettle, the temperature of the water will decrease at a rapid rate.

Using Your Kettle (cont...) Slot the plug on the end of the power cord into a mains socket and turn the power on at the socket if required. Press the power button on the kettle base to turn the kettle base on. If you press the power button again this will turn the kettle base off.

Using Your Kettle (cont...) Once you have selected the temperature the kettle will automatically begin to boil. After the kettle has boiled you will hear a BEEP showing that the kettle has reach the desired temperature. The temperature light will now turn red.
Cup Display Cup display When you place the kettle on the kettle base the cup display will show the amount of cups of water in the kettle. 0 = Kettle empty 1-2-3-4-5-6 = Amount of cups 6 is the maximum amount of cups you can fit in the kettle.
Other Features Reheating the water If you want to reheat the water in the kettle, press the power button The red light shows the current temperature. Now select the desired temperature. The kettle will now boil to the selected temperature. Checking the temperature After boiling the kettle base will automatically go into standby mode...
Resetting The Kettle Base Important: If when you turn your kettle base on at the mains, the cup display shows F, this indicates that the kettle base needs resetting. To do this follow the steps below. Once reset the base will function normally.

Resetting The Kettle Base (cont..) Turn the power off at the socket or remove the plug for 30 seconds. Switch the power back on or insert the plug back into the mains socket. The kettle Base unit cup display will now flash 0.
Descaling Your Kettle Important: After extended use, minerals in the water may form a deposit on the bottom of your kettle which will influence the performance of your kettle. So periodic descaling will be required. Please only use white vinegar as described in these instructions and only using the method described below.
Care & Cleaning • Always ensure your kettle base is unplugged from the mains and before performing any maintenance or cleaning tasks. • Always remove any spillages from the kettle base and kettle after each use. • Wipe the outside of the kettle and the kettle base with a soft damp cloth then wipe with a dry cloth.
