5. REMOVING AND INSERTING THE BATTERY 5.1 REMOVING THE BATTERY Open the cover flap. Remove the battery from the down tube. Hold the battery firmly from below. Turn the bolt counterclock- wise with a 6mm Allen key and remove. - Page 9 5. REMOVING AND INSERTING THE BATTERY 5.2 INSERTING THE BATTERY Slide the battery into the down tube. Insert the bolt into the opening and tighten clockwise to 6 Nm using a torque wrench (Allen key 6 mm). Close the cover flap.
- Page 10 6. CLEANING WARNING 6. 1 CLEANING THE BATTERY SEVERE INJURY FROM ELECTRICAL SHOCK WARNING Before cleaning the battery and/or charger, these must be discon- nected from the mains power. SERIOUS CRUSHING INJURY DUE TO ACCIDENTAL ACTUATION OF THE ON BUTTON. PLEASE NOTE Remove the battery before cleaning it.

7. STORAGE 7.1 STORING THE BATTERY Remove the battery from the Pedelec. Store the battery in a dry, not excessively warm room. The storage temperature should be between 0°C and 20°C. 8. FAULTS AND REMEDIES 8. 1 BATTERY DESCRIPTION CAUSE REMEDY The battery gets hot when charging Excessively high ambient temperature Immediately stop the charge process and allow the battery to cool.
