Advanced Programming of P1000 - Menu Setting Brake On & Off The Brake On and Brake Off settings are used to control the descent speed of the curtain when set to Gravity Close When the voltage rises to the voltage set in Brake On the load dumped into the brake resistor which slows the curtain. As the curtain slows the voltage decreases towards the Brake Off voltage.
