With built-in Pure Sine Wave technology (THD≤3%), it’s also ideal for powering tools, domestic appliances and sensitive electronic devices.

    2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG Unpacking and delivery inspection You should inspect the generator immediately after you receive delivery. If you have missing or damaged parts, contact your place of purchase. Do not operate this product if there’s any issue with the parts.

    Before starting The generator is shipped without oil. You must add an adequate amount of engine oil before first use. The engine will be damaged beyond repair if it’s started without oil. For oil type, please see “Recommended Oil Type” section of this manual on page 13. Fresh regular RON (Research Octane Number) 91 fuel must be used in this unit.

The generator and manual only feature the symbols relevant to the model purchased. Check that the symbols and signs affixed to the unit are always present and legible.

INSPECT COMPONENTS: Closely inspect to make sure no components are missing or damaged.

Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions. • Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the generator in unexpected situations.

If speed needs adjusting, it must be done by factory authorised personnel. • External fuel sources. Never attempt to connect external fuel sources in order to increase generator run time.

    Recommended oil type Oil Recommendations We recommend the use of our Vyking Force power equipment oil SAE 30 SJ/CF (Part No VF30184) for best performance. Other high-quality oils are acceptable if classified for service SF, SG, SH. SJ or higher.

    240V 15A AC OUTLET- This outet is capable of delivering generators full output or 15 Amps, whichever is the lesser GROUND TERMINAL- The frame terminal can be used by a licensed electrician to earth the generator if necessary. Generator set up Planning the power load Plan your power load so that you do not exceed the generator’s rated capacity.

Below grounding method is only needed by a qualified electrician if connecting through your building’s electrical system. If the generator is not grounded through your building’s electrical system, follow the procedure below fig 1.

    2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG Power load planning and management NEVER exceed the rated wattage capacity of WARNING your generator. OVERLOADING may cause SERIOUS DAMAGE to the generator and attached electrical devices and may result in fire. Your generator MUST BE SIZED PROPERLY to provide both the running and starting (surge) wattage of the devices you will be powering.

Removing the oil fill plug/ dipstick while the engine is hot can cause extremely hot oil to spray out of the crankcase and can severely burn skin.

    2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG 3. Move the engine control switch to the OFF position (see Figure 10) . During an Emergency If there is an emergency and the inverter must be stopped quickly, move the engine control switch to the OFF position immediately (see Figure 10).

    The generator must be run at the correct WARNING speed in order to produce the proper electrical voltage and frequency. Failure to do so could result in damage to equipment powered by the generator and possible injury to the individual.   • Page 31 2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG 12V DC CONNECTION The generator is fitted with a socket outlet specifically for connection to a lead acid battery for charging. The output voltage is 12V with maximum output current of 8A. The generator will charge lead acid batteries of various sizes from small to large.

    2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG For instance, if the generator is used for 4 hours on low wattage, run the generator for 1 hour at around 75% of rating. If the generator is being used for solely charging a battery, it’s recommended to run the 240V at around 500W for the generators up to 2000W if the charging cycle will be ran for many hours.
  • Page 34 Store the generator in a location that is clean, dry, away from sources of heat, open flames, sparks, or pilot lights and is not subject to extreme high or low temperatures. Residual fuel in the tank could ignite even if the generator’s fuel tank is empty. Note: Do not store with battery charger always connected.

  • Page 39 2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG 8. Using the supplied oil funnel, slowly add engine oil to the engine. Stop frequently to check the oil level and avoid overfilling. 9. Continue to add oil until the oil is at the correct level.
  • Page 40 9. Fill crankcase with oil following the steps outlined in Adding Engine Oil on page 38. 10. Dispose of used engine oil properly. Never dispose of used engine oil by NOTICE dumping the oil into a sewer, on the ground, or into groundwater or waterways.
  • Page 41 2.5kVA Inverter Generator VF2200IG 4. Remove the foam element from the air cleaner housing. 5. Wash the foam air filter element by submerging the element in a solution of household detergent soap and warm water. Slowly squeeze the foam to thoroughly clean.

NOTICE Never apply any side load or move the spark plug laterally when removing the spark plug. Applying a side load or moving the spark plug laterally may crack and damage the spark plug boot.

Hand-thread the spark plug until it bottoms out. b. Using the spark plug socket wrench provided, turn the spark plug to ensure it is fully seated.
