Dropping implement in transport can cause serious damage to the tractor and/or Implement and possibly cause the operator or others to be injured or killed.     PT417/417H requires a tractor with at least 22hp. Operating the implement with a tractor that does not have adequate power may damage the tractor engine.     Never allow passengers to ride on the tractor or attached equipment. Riders can easily fall off and be seriously injured or killed from falling off and being ran over.     10.1 Operating the Hay Tedder In Field (Manual Fold) For the HT417/HT417H manual fold, lateral arms 1 & 2 should be lowered before hand. To do this, rotate pin 4 so that spring pins 3 on it, slides over tab “C”, causing pin 4 to exit from the hole in the inside pipe of the strut assembly (RH and LH side).
