To adjust the water hardness on a SENTRY II 970 Series:

1. Press and hold the NEXT button and the button with the clock symbol at the same time for about 2 seconds.
2. The “SET HARDNESS” display will flash.
3. Use the arrow buttons to set the correct raw water hardness level.
