The following hardware and software are required to
transfer audio data from a PC to the unit.

Home Edition standard installation *2
Software Windows Media Player 9 Series or 10
Drive CD-ROM drive
Interface Available USB port (USB 2.0/1.1)
*1 Operation is not guaranteed on all the compatible
computers.
*2 Operation is not guaranteed on computers running up-
graded OS or multiple OS with dual-boot.

About the battery switch

The unit is equipped with a built-in battery. When you use
the unit for the first time, set the BATTERY switch to ON.
(It is set to OFF when shipped from the factory.)
Notes:
" Set the BATTERY switch to OFF only when leaving the
unit unused for long periods.
" Do not set the BATTERY switch to OFF whilst using
the unit, whilst charging or when the AC adaptor or
USB cable is connected. Malfunction may result.
