    USB Connection • The USB RSM powers up when it detects a USB connection. • Connect the coiled cable USB-C plug to the Smart phone, ensuring that the KODIK client application is running. • The USB RSM LED will show RED as it powers up.     Operation Note: The following instructions assume that the Smartphone/Device and the USB-RSM are connected and the Smartphone/Device has the Kodiak App, V10.0.2.22C running. Push-To-Talk (PTT) • Press and hold the PTT button and wait for KODIAK grant tones to transmit. Release the button to end the transmission.

    Headset Socket The multi-function headset socket located on the base of the USB-RSM is designed to allow a wide range of compatible communications headsets to be connected. Headsets are available for Motorcycle Helmet use, Public Order, Firearms, Fireground and all operational requirements, where a headset is required to be used, rather than microphone and receive audio being presented from the USB-RSM or into a receive earpiece.
  • Page 9 Battery • Charging: The USB-RSM is charged using a compatible lead connected to the USB-C charging/programming socket on the base of the USB-RSM. Charge time is approximately 3 hours from fully discharged. • Charge Indicator: The Status LED will show Red while charging and will change status to Green when fully charged.
