However, on the inside it is a precision tool with care taken in manufacture to ensure that the components meet finely matching tolerances to provide fast drilling, reliability and efficient use of air without waste.

Where the reverse wear limit has been reached on the outer diameter at the chuck end of the wear sleeve, the hammer can be reassembled with the backhead end becoming the chuck end.
