VCR Play System

Your video recorder uses triple colour standards, PAL
and MESECAM. During play your video recorder should
select the colour system automatically, however if you
experience problems you may need to do it manually.

AV2 Connection

You can connect a decoder, satellite receiver or other
device to the AV2 DECODER jack socket on the back.

Video output format

Select the Video output format option according to the
connection type of this unit
[YPbPr] When your TV is connected with the
COMPONENT OUTPUT jack on this unit.
[RGB] When your TV is connected with the
SCART(RGB signal) jack on this unit.

Power Save Mode

You can set up the unit into an economic power save
mode.
Nothing is displayed in the display window.
ON: Power Save Mode is active.
OFF: Power Save Mode is not active.

The encoded television signals (CANAL+ or PRE-
MIERE) are not decoded in the Power Save Mode.
The Power Save Mode is not available in the standby
mode for the timer recording and when power off of
the unit after receiving the encoded television signals
(CANAL+ or PREMIERE).

Factory Set

If you need to, you can reset the recorder to all its facto-
ry settings. Select 'SET' icon then press ENTER and
auto setup menu will appear. (See page 17).

Some options can not be reset.

Language Settings

Display Language

Select a language for the Setup menu and on-screen
display.

Disc Language

Select a language for the disc's Menu, Audio, and Subtitle.
- Original: The original language set for the disc is
selected.
- Others: To select another language, select Others
option then press ENTER. Use the numbered
buttons to key-in the corresponding 4-digit
number according to the language code list on
page 55. If you make a mistake, press b
repeatedly to delete one by one and correct it.
