Subscription After registering you will be required to choose your preferred subscription plan DAKTEL X8 offers two plans. Monthly subscription and annual subscription. The subscription can be canceled or changed at any time - a subscription change will take effect when the first selected subscription period ends.
If you chose to scan the barcode, you will be prompted to allow DAKTEL X8 access to your camera for scanning as shown in screen 2. after scanning the barcode you will be automatically redirected to the next step.
DAKTEL X8 USER GUIDE | Page 9 2. Pairing Mode Once we have verified that the barcode does belong to the X8 device, you will be asked to put the device in Pairing Mode. In order to do so, press both switch (power button) and sos (middle button) buttons for 3 seconds, then release.

Congratulations Congratulations on your new device, the device is successfully registered and associated with your app. you can now set a name for your device, such as "Mom's device" and upload a photo. You can skip this step but it will help you identify it later if you have more than one device.

DAKTEL X8 USER GUIDE | Page 17 Device Settings If this is your first X8 device, "Device Settings" refer to how you want the device to behave and operate under certain emergency conditions and day-to-day routines. In the next section we will explain each setting, this information is also indicated in the application itself.

DAKTEL X8 USER GUIDE | Page 18 Low Battery This option is on by default - when it is on, you will receive an alert in the app when your device's battery is running low. Silent Mode Silent Mode is off by default. When this option is set to on, emergency alerts will be received without an outgoing call from the device.

To enter the Geofence screen there are two options: • If Geofence mode is off and never set before, tapping the toggle will show the Geofence screen for initial setup (screen 2).

DAKTEL X8 USER GUIDE | Page 21 In order to set up Geofence for the device, we must first set up its home site (its center), which simply means, we have to choose an address or location known in advance, that the radius is at its center.

If we pay attention, the circle is just above the location we have chosen and its physical diameter is the radius of the Geofence.

Map The map is one of the core features of the app and will allow you to track your devices and navigate to their location both online (when the device is on and in motion) and offline (in situations where the device is turned off - based on its last known location).
DAKTEL X8 USER GUIDE | Page 30 Tracking When you enter the map, your device will start sending its location automatically and no special action is required. The map will always show the last location of your device on the map (whether it is on or off), and will provide you with the last known device address - and additional information such as, whether it is active at the moment or when it was last on.

Since the goal is not to miss a single step of the device - the map is set to move along with the device, which will prevent you from moving it freely.

In the settings screen you can view and change your account settings, your subscription plan and log out of the account. You will also find here the terms of use and privacy policy of the app and other Daktel services, Notices as well as alternative ways to contact us.
At times when your ISP can not provide a stable Internet connection or in situations of poor reception - Daktel uses an emergency backup system that will allow you to receive alerts despite the conditions so that you do not miss any alerts.
