- Page 2 Getting Started: Elgato Video Capture enables VHS/DVD transfer, meaning that it is designed to convert your personal VHS tapes to digital files and DVD discs. It is not designed to convert commercial VHS tapes to DVDs. Copying video that does not belong to you is illegal.

How to on trimming video
After recording a video using Elgato Video Capture, you can trim it in the built-in editor. Move the slider from the left to remove unwanted sections at the beginning of the video. Similarly, adjust the slider on the right to trim the end of the video. This allows you to remove blue screens, static, or unnecessary content. Once trimming is complete, click "Continue" to finalize the edit.
