SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Some foods with a skin (whole sausages, tongue,
poultry, etc.) or large pieces of meat can spit when
boiling liquids become trapped.
We therefore recommend piercing them with a knife or
fork before cooking.
Product use, maintenance, cleaning and installation: for
your safety, please read through all the sections in these
instructions and pay attention to the corresponding
pictograms.
• This appliance is intended for domestic household
use only. It is not intended to be used in the following
applications, and the guarantee will not apply for:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential
type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
• Children must be supervised to ensure they do not
play with the appliance or use it as a toy.

Accessible surface temperatures can be high when
the appliance is operating.
• Remove all packaging materials, stickers and
accessories from the inside and the outside of the
appliance.
• Fully unwind the power cord.
• Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible
with the power rating and voltage indicated on the
bottom of the appliance.
• Any connection error may cause irreversible damage
and will invalidate your guarantee.
• Given the diverse standards in effect, if the appliance
is used in a country other than that in which it is
purchased, have it checked by an Approved Service
Centre.
• Always plug the appliance into a socket outlet with
an earth connection.
• If it is necessary to use an extension lead ensure that
it is of suitable construction and power rating, with
an earth connection; take all necessary precautions
to prevent anyone tripping over an extension cord.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid any danger.
• The power supply cord should be regularly examined
for signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the
appliance must not be used.
