Multi-line Voice Terminal — 4610 Quick Reference Guide

CALL PROCESSING

TO PLACE A CALL

1.
Pick up the handset, or press SPKR.
— If you are using a headset touch the headset button
to dial out and disconnect.
2.
Dial the 6-digit extension number or dial 9 and the
outside number.

TO ANSWER A CALL

1.
When the phone rings, either pick up the handset or
press the SPKR button.
— If you are using a headset, touch the headset button
to answer a call and disconnect.
BASIC FEATURES

CONFERENCE

To add another party to a call which is already in progress
(for a total of six parties, including yourself):
1.
Press Conference.
2.
Dial number of new party.
— If there is no answer or the line is busy, press Drop
and return to the call by pressing its call appearance
button.
3.
Press Conference again.
4.
Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each additional party to
be added to the call.
To add a call you have put on hold to another call.
1.
Press Conference.
— You are given a new call appearance.
2.
Press the call appearance of call on hold (first call).
3.
Press Conference again.

DROP

Used to drop the last party on a conference call, or obtain
new dial tone if a mistake is made dialing during a transfer or
conference.

HOLD

To put a call on hold:
1.
Press the Hold button.
To answer a new call while active on another:
1.
Press the Hold button.
2.
Press the call appearance of incoming call.
To return to held call:
1.
Press call appearance of held call.

MUTE

To prevent the other person on the call from hearing you:
1.
Press MUTE.
2.
Press MUTE again to resume conversation.

REDIAL

Allows a user a choice of dialing out the last number called or
displaying a list of the last three numbers called.
1.
Press the OPTIONS softkey to administer redial options.

TRANSFER

To send present call to another extension:
1.
Press Transfer.
2.
Dial number where call is to be transferred.
3.
Press Transfer again.
PROGRAMMED FEATURES

ABBREVIATED DIALING ON A SD BUTTON

To program and label a SD button on your station:
1.
Press the Abrv Prog button or dial *16.
2.
Press the SD button.
3.
Dial in the speed dial entry number, include a 9 if it is an
outside number.
4.
Press #.
— Use the Label feature, in the Options menu on the
second screen, to label the speed dial button.

CALL PARK

To park a call at your extension (for retrieval at any
extension):
1.
Press the CALL PARK button. <confirmation tone>
To retrieve a parked call from any extension:
1.
Touch the PARK RETRVL button.
2.
Dial the extension you were at when you parked the call.
If the receptionist parks a call for you:
1.
Press PARK RETRVL.
2.
Dial your own extension number.

DIRECTORY

Used to search the database for a telephone number.
1.
Press DIRECTORY.
2.
Enter last name using the letters above the numbers on
the keypad.
3.
Press Next to show next name.
4.
Press MAKE CALL or CALL DISPLAY to dial the
displayed entry or press PHONE/EXIT to leave the
directory mode.
