NOTE: Make sure to wear protective, flame-resistant gloves when operating this appliance. 1) Place the chimney starter on your grill. 2) Place pieces of charcoal, coal, or briquette into the caddy spreading them out evenly on the heating grate. 3) Connect the power cord of the chimney starter to a power outlet. 4) Stack more charcoal into the caddy once the first layer of charcoal starts to heat up. - Page 8 5) Let charcoal sit in the starter for about 8 – 10 minutes. Then, unplug the unit. 6) While wearing protective gloves, grab the handle of the starter and remove it from the grill. 7) Lift off the grill grate and set it to the side. 8) Pour the charcoal that is in the starter into your grill.
