1. Intended use

Personal protective equipment (PPE)*
• The product can only be used as described below and is not
allowed to be modified.

• The product is designed to be mounted on bolt-on ice climbing
shoes and used to protect against slipping when practicing
mountaineering on snow, ice, mixed terrain and in competitions.
• For training purposes and competitions, the crampons can be
used without any side points.
2.Safety Instructions
• This product is not allowed to be loaded beyond its limits.
It can only be used for the purpose for what it was designed.
• Improper use and ignoring any of these warnings can result in
serious injury or even death.
• Please practice this sport only with appropriate training. The
personal risk and liability for any property damage, bodily injury
and fatal accidents is borne solely by the user.
• Alpinism /climbing is naturally dangerous.
The user must be able to act appropriately and professionally in
an emergency situation.
• Before using this equipment, consider whether you can perform
a rescue in an emergency situation.
• If you are unable to bear the risks involved in using it, you
should not use this item of equipment.
• General safety regulations for alpine climbing or any similar
activity must be observed and complied with.

3. Instructions for use

Be sure to follow the instructions for your fruitboots!
There are 3 possible positions for the front points that the user
can choose .

• To pull the front point out of the ice, pull the shoe out with
alternating movements up and down.
• Under no circumstances should the front spike be moved
sideways to detach it from the ice. The product can fail due to
wear and tear, aging or other events and there is a consider-
able risk of falling. If you are no longer sure whether your prod-
uct is still in perfect condition, please contact us using the con-
tact form on the website:
• Before each use, check the product again for tightened screw
connections, cracks, deformation, corrosion or susceptible
damage and that the platforms are correctly seated on the
shoe.
4.Maintenance
The platforms are maintenance-free. However, the maintenance
instructions for bolt-on climbing shoes must be observed and
complied with.

5. Additional Information

Storage: WKP-21 and general climbing equipment must be
stored in a well-ventilated, dry and dark place away from direct
sunlight. Do not leave your equipment unattended.
• Any contact with acid, dirt, aggressive substances, temperature
fluctuations will shorten the life of the product. If in doubt,
discard the equipment.
Duration of use: of our product is unlimited, but the usage
regulations, wear limits and storage conditions must be observed.
Transport: Use appropriate transport bags or containers to
protect the product from chemicals, damage and dirt during
transport.
Rust: on the tips is not a reason for complaint. Our products are
protected against rust by a thin layer of nickel.
However, this can change when used with the wear out time. To
reduce the formation of rust, it is recommended to coat the rust
spots with oil or grease.
Sharpening: The front points and side parts may only be
sharpened with a hand file, a diamond-coated file is recommended.
Please sharpen the pointed platform parts in one direction only.

• Machine grinding is prohibited, since overheating can quickly
change the metal properties.
Cleaning: Rinse well with lukewarm water and dry.
When assembling: It is necessary to check that the front points
have no lateral play on the screw. All compensating sleeves and
discs must be pressed against each other. If the screw is tightened
despite play, platform stresses arise that can lead to breakage. The
