INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION -- ''CL'' HEATING CABLE
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION
1.
Clean the room.
2.
Make sure that the floor surface is free of any irregularities
3.
The heating cable length must not be altered, cutted or shortened
can be cut to desired length. The identification label must be reattached for future identification.

All Copal's Heating Cables are fabricated of high quality materials and have been tested prior to
shipping. Refer to the identification label at the end of the cold lead concerning the voltage and
the cable type. It is recommended making a reading with an ohmmeter. The ohmmeter reading
should match the resistance printed on the identification label.
Installation
The installation needs two (2) concrete casting.
Provide enough prepunched strapping to ensure that the cables remain in place during the casting. It
is recommended to cover the cables with 1½ '' to 2'' of concrete.
The cables must never cross an expansion joint.

6. Connections

Use cable at voltage specified on the Identification label. Copal's heating cable is an electrical
appliance and should be installed by a professional electrician.

The heating cable must be control by an electronic thermostat which sensor install in a ½'' diameter
flexible PVC conduct at the floor level. The Electrical Code requires a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter
(GFCI) be used on the branch supply circuit for shock safety and fire protection.
