5.3 TTY Mode

Allows you to attach a TTY device
to communicate with parties also
using TTY devices. A phone with
TTY support can translate typed
characters into voice. Voice can
also be translated into characters
and then displayed on the TTY.
1. Tap , or press the Unlock Key
at the top edge of the
phone.
2. Tap the Menu Key
the menu.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Call Settings.
5. Tap TTY Mode.
6. After reading the disclaimer, tap

- Users who cannot talk or
hear send and receive text
messages through TTY
equipment.
- Users who can talk but
cannot hear receive text
messages and send voice
through TTY equipment.
- Users who can hear but
cannot talk send text
messages and receive voice
through TTY equipment.
- Users send and receive
without TTY equipment.
