The only regular maintenance tasks that you should perform are Run or Replace the Cleaning Cartridge. There are User Diagnostics on the Demo submenu that you can use to check the operation of the LoaderXpress LXL1U11. Occasionally, Overland Data issues new firmware which must be installed by qualified service personnel.
. Any reserved slots in the magazine become inaccessible to the host software. In these cases, the LoaderXpress LXL1U11 designates these inaccessible slots as cleaning cartridge slots. If you have reserved slots, Cleaning Slot 1 is the first reserved slot in the magazine.
The Auto Clean Mode is not functional with the present firmware release. When implemented, you enable the Auto Clean Mode on the Configuration Menu, the LoaderXpress LXL1U11 will run the cleaning cartridge (from a reserved slot) automatically whenever the Use Cleaner LED comes on.
If not, then unload it using the Load/Unload Menu, as described in Chapter 3 - Operation. Remove the magazine from the LoaderXpress LXL1U11 using the procedure described in Chapter 3 - Operation. Remove the cleaning cartridge from the magazine.
