generelle InFo’s Der erste Schritt einer erfolgreichen Installation ist, die akustisch optimalen Einbauplätze aus- zuwählen . Berücksichtigen Sie für die Montage der Tiefmitteltöner die vom Hersteller des Autos vorgesehenen Einbauplätze, oder besorgen Sie sich ein stabiles fahrzeugspezifisches Doorboard aus MDF, um die Tiefmitteltöner möglichst stabil und fest an den Vordertüren montieren zu können . Sollten Sie ein Doorboad zur Montage des Kompo-Sets in Erwägung ziehen, lassen Sie sich von ihrem EMPHASER Händler beraten! -

Montage der hoChtÖner Der Montageort der Hochtöner im Fahrzeug hat einen deutlich hörbaren Einfluss auf die Räumlichkeit und die Tonalität der Musikwiedergabe . In Abhängigkeit zur relativen Höhre des Hochtöner Mon- tageortes ergeben sich unterschiedliche Pegel im Hochtonbereich, welche auf der Frequenzweiche durch einen Jumper angepasst werden können . -

Montage der tIeFMItteltÖner Entfernen Sie die Originalabdeckungen aus Kunststoff und entfernen Sie – falls vorhanden - die Originallautsprecher . In Abhängigkeit zur Fahrzeugmarke/Typ ist es manchmal erforderlich, die gesamten Türverkleidungen komplett zu demontieren, damit die Montageöffnungen für die Tiefmit- teltöner zugängig werden . Sollte dies der Fall sein, empfiehlt es sich vorher beim Kfz-Fachhandel eine handvoll der Befestigungsclipse aus Kunststoff für die Türverkleidungen zu besorgen . -

Abb .: Jumperposition Nun sollte abschliessend noch die akustisch korrekte Polung der beiden Hochtöner ausgetestet werden . Je nach Abstand der Tiefmitteltöner zu den Hochtönern und dem Abstand zum Hörplatz kann ein Umpolen BEIDER Hochtöner an der Frequenzweiche den besseren Klang zu Folge haben . set Content Unpack the loudspeakers, crossovers and accessories and check if all parts are contained and undamaged, as listed below: • 2 mid/woofers ECP25-G5/ECP26-G5 • 2 tweeters ECP-G5 tweeters with mounting adapters • 2 crossovers ECP25-G5/ECP26-G5 • 2 plastic trim rings/metal mesh grilles • 1 set of wiring hardware for tweeter and mid/woofer • 1 set of tweeter mounting hardware • 1 instruction manual general InFo’s The first step of a sucessful install is to choose the best mounting locations for the tweeters and mid/ woofers . -

tWeeter MountIng The tweeter mounting location inside the car exhibits a distinct and audible influence on the front staging and tonality of the component system, overriding the system inherent sound quality . Depen- ding on the chosen location for tweeter mounting, the front staging is going to be precise or diffuse . Note that the tweeter level can be attenuated by a jumper on the crossover’s pcb bord, enabling you to tailor the treble response for different mounting locations . -

MId/WooFer MountIng Remove the factory grilles of the front door and remove – if applicable - the factory installed full range speakers or mid/woofers . Depending on the car brand and type, it is sometimes unavoidable to remove the complete doorpanels to gain full access to the speaker openings . If this is the case, you should buy some spare plastic clips for remounting of the door panels after your install is complete, as these clips tend to break quite easily . -

Fig .: Jumperposition Finally, you should determine the acoustically correct in-phase connection of the tweeters . This depends on several factors, for example in what loaction the tweeters have been mounted, or upon the relative distance between tweeter, mid/woofer and listener . You should invert BOTH tweeter wires at the terminals of the crossovers and than listen for changes in the upper midrange region . -
