    Press and hold to stop transmitting over the line or to eliminate sidetones. Release to talk. Dialing Features PULSE Pulse Dialing Connect the PE395 to the line. Press PULSE, then press TALK to go off-hook. Press change to tone dialing. Note: The PE395 will default to tone dialing after the line is disconnected. FLASH Flash Press FLASH once momentarily to flash the line.

    Use the polarity testing procedure to determine which wire is the tip. Connect the test set to the line with correct polarity. Press and hold the TALK button. Touch the belt clip to ground. After hearing the dial tone, disconnect the ground. PE395...

    Changing the Battery or Cord Set Do not remove the cover while the test set is connected to a circuit. Electric shock or damage to the test set can result. Disconnect the unit from the circuit. Remove the two cover screws and the cover. Replace the battery or cord set as shown.
