- Page 2 2. Fill to approximately 1/16” (1.5mm) below the top of the reel spool for best results. DRAG ADJUSTMENT The Cadence® CB5 and CB5R baitcast reels deliver smooth and reliable drag tension due to the carbon fiber drag system. Control the amount of drag by turning the adjustment star inside the reel handle.
- Page 3 MAINTENANCE Gently rinse your Cadence® reel with fresh water, and wipe it dry after each use. Rinsing is especially important if you use the reel in salt or brackish water. You will need to lubricate your reel periodically. If used a lot or in harsh conditions, it may need lubrication more than once a year.
