  • Page 2 2. Fill to approximately 1/16” (1.5mm) below the top of the reel spool for best results. DRAG ADJUSTMENT The Cadence® CB6 baitcast reel delivers smooth and reliable drag tension due to the carbon fiber drag system. Control the amount of drag by turning the adjustment star inside the reel handle. Rotate the star clockwise (right) to increase drag or counterclockwise (left) to decrease drag.
  • Page 3 REMOVING THE SIDEPLATE Cadence® baitcast reels are equipped with a removable palm side plate that allows access to the spool and brake system. To open the side plate, push the side plate release button (see picture) downward until it disengages.
  • Page 4 Gently rinse your Cadence® reel with fresh water, and wipe it dry after each use. Rinsing is especially important if you use the reel in salt or brackish water. You will need to lubricate your reel periodically. If used a lot or in harsh conditions, it may need lubrication more than once a year.
