5.11 Use the running board

Risk of injury with the running board mounted!
If the running board is installed, there is a significant risk of injury if it
is handled incorrectly.
4 Make sure that the running board is properly fitted.
4 Drive carefully. Do not brake suddenly, etc.
4 Do not drive on a steep slope with the running board.
To ride on the running board:
a) Fold down the running boards.
b) Check that the handlebars are in the correct position. Adjust the
handlebars (see chapter Adjusting the handlebars [} 46])
Risk of injury due to falling forward over the handlebars!
If the handlebars are set incorrectly and the speed is reduced suddenly,
there is a risk of falling forward, which can result in injury.
4 To avoid falling forward in the event of sudden speed reduction,
adjust the handlebars so that the display is above the belt line.
When not using the running board:
a) Fold up the running boards.
b) Make sure that the running boards are securely locked in place.
c) Return the handlebars to the rear position.
