Gateway 56-inch HD-Ready DLP TV

Lamp Replacement

You should replace the lamp in your DLP TV approximately every
6000 hours to maintain the best possible display image. Do not use a
lamp past the rated lamp life.
Warning
To replace the lamp:

Turn off your DLP TV.

Disconnect the power cord and all other external cables.
Carefully follow the procedure below. The high-pressure
lamp may explode if handled incorrectly.
Make sure that your DLP TV is turned off, power is
disconnected, and the lamp is completely cool
(minimum of 45 minutes) before replacing the lamp.

  • Page 5 Use the lamp removal handle to lift the lamp module straight out of the lamp bay.
  • Page 6 Insert the new lamp module into the lamp bay. Caution Replace the two lamp module retaining screws. Important Replace the lamp bay access panel, then tighten the two access panel screws. Connect the power cable and all external cables. Make sure that you do not touch the front of the lamp. The oils from your hands can cause the lamp to fail prematurely.
