Playing with Different Tones

Tone group button
Your Digital Piano has 26 built-in tones, which include
those of the world-renowned grand pianos. It also has
a Hall Simulator and other features (page EN-14) that
let you add effects that give you the feel of playing in
one of the world's famous concert halls.

Selecting and Playing a Tone

Use one of the three procedures below to select the tone
you want.
– Press a tone group button to select a grand piano
tone
– Use the tone group button to select other tones
– Use the tone list to select a tone
• For information about tone group names and the
names of the tones in each group, see the "Tone List"
(page A-1).

To press a tone group button to select a
grand piano tone
1.
Press one of the buttons below.
BERLIN GRAND (Berlin grand piano)
HAMBURG GRAND (Hamburg grand piano)
VIENNA GRAND (Vienna grand piano)
• The name of the tone assigned to the button you
pressed will appear on the display.
• Pressing the button of the tone group that is currently
selected scrolls through the group tones without
leaving the group.
To use the tone group button to select
other tones
1.
While holding down the SETTING button,
press the button of the tone group you want.

• To select a tone, hold down the SETTING button
while pressing the group button of the currently
selected group. This will cycle through the tones
included in the group.
