I have everything set up on the controller and am using Program A, zones 1-4. Water source is on and valves are open. Dial is on All/Manual and Program is on Run. Timer is counting down on zones 1-4 and water will not switch off. Does not seem to switch over to program but remains open on all zones. Please tell me what I could be doing wrong. All help is greatly appreciated as I have spent hours and many YouTube videos trying to figure this out! Thank you!

Possible causes for the Champion Irrigation Products R-120 controller keeping water running on zones 1–4 without switching off include:
1. A valve that won’t shut off due to needing cleaning or repair. 2. A manually closed flow adjustment screw. 3. Excess water pressure. 4. A shorted solenoid (check resistance; a good solenoid has 15–35 ohms). 5. Wiring issues, such as broken wires or a short between the zone wire and common wire.
Each of these issues can prevent proper valve closure and cause continuous watering.

The advantage of this 10-second delay is the demand for electrical current does not come on all at the same time if 2 zones or the pump start come on simultaneously. It also allows time to do a visual check of your zones to see if they are watering properly.
