OPERATING THE APPLIANCE

Setting the thermostat

The thermostat automatically regulates the temperature inside the refrigerator and freezer
compartment (if present).
For appliances with a freezer compartment, setting 4 or 5 is advised when frozen
products are stored for a longer period.

Intensive freezing

Performance at low ambient temperature
If the ambient temparature is less than 16 °C, the intensive freezing switch can be used to obtain
good performance at low ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is above 16 °C, the
intensive freezing function must be switched off when you do not want to use this function.
Attention
Do not switch on the intensive freezing function unnecessarily. This will save energy.
The normal temperature setting is position 3.
Set a higher temperature by turning the knob to setting 1 or 2.
Set a lower temperature by turning the knob to setting 4 or 5.
The '•' position indicates that the thermostat is switched off. There is
no cooling.
(if present)
Freezing with intensive freezing function (winter setting)
Activate the intensive freezing function eight hours before freezing fresh
food and the freezer will run continuously to provide maximum cooling.
The freezing temperature drops and the appliance switches to the
lowest temperature. Place the food to be frozen in the freezer quickly.
As soon as the food is frozen you must switch off the intensive freezing
button (after a maximum of 24 hours).
