Installation – Please note installation is performed at your own risk – this guide is for reference only. Once vents have been removed, if you look into the space behind them, you will see a TORX screw behind each of the left/right air vents, screwed into a plastic bracket going straight down. These two screws and brackets hold the Mercedes original radio in place. When both screws are removed, reach your hands into space behind air vents and you can feel that the radio is released, carefully push out the radio unit a little to make sure it is free to move (it is recommended to lay down a cloth to protect centre console trim...

Remove quadlock from original radio unit – locked in place with swivelling clip Connect factory quadlock connector to CarPlay quadlock female end.

Connect male end of CarPlay quadlock to rear of original radio – ensure clip at bottom of connector is fully pressed home. Audio Connection – Depending on your preference, there are two ways to connect the AUX Audio pass-through cable coming from the power wiring loom – either connect directly to the quadlock pass- through connector, or connect the 3.5mm lead directly from ‘AUDIO OUT’ on CarPlay power loom to the cars 3.5mm AUX socket.
