  • Page 2 SDARS ANTENNA COMMANDER PROCEDURE STEPS: 1. Disconnect and Isolate the negative battery cable. 2. Using Trim Stick C-4755, or equivalent, release the retaining clips that secure the header trim molding (1) in the liftgate opening and remove. 3. Remove the push pins from the headliner at the rear of the vehicle.
  • Page 3 5. Equipped with Load Floor - Remove the two nuts (1) that secure the load floor to the floor panel. 6. Remove the load floor. 7. Equipped with Third Row Seats - Remove the four nuts holding in the jack storage compartment. 8.
  • Page 4 11. Remove the passenger side cowl trim panel (1). NOTE: Passenger side shown, driver side similar. 12. Position the third row seat down. 13. Remove the screw cover for the third row seat release and remove the lever (2), both sides. 14.
  • Page 5 16. Using a magnetic screwdriver or equivalent, remove the upper screw and pull the upper part of the trim panel (1) away from the pillar and release the bottom tabs (2). 17. Position aside the c-pillar trim, both sides. 18. Pull the grab handle downward, remove the two screws that secure the grab handle to the roof panel, and remove the grab handles from the headliner.
  • Page 6 29. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove the shifter bezel. 30. Remove the radio bezel screw. 31. Remove the radio mounting fasteners. WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service.
  • Page 7 35. Route along the front passenger scuff plate and under the b- pillar trim. 36. Route antenna harness along the rear passenger scuff plate and up the c-pillar. 37. Route the antenna cable behind the rear HVAC housingand secure to the body harness and up the d-pillar. 4/1/2008 K6860274 Rev.
  • Page 8 38. Starting from the door side use a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the retaining tabs that secure the trim ring (1) to the rear sunroof support bracket (2). 39. Remove the four mounting fasteners for the video monitor, if equipped.
  • Page 9 48. Drill the front hole to 19 mm (3/4 in.). 49. Debur both of the holes. 50. Apply Mopar® Corrosion Inhibitor, p/n 82300508, to the bare metal surface of the drilled holes. 51. Clean and prep the area for the antenna.

  • Page 11 56. Starting on the inside, slide the moon roof trim in to the slot and push up to engage clips. 57. Position the quarter trim panel in the vehicle. 58. If equipped, connect the wire harness connector to the power outlet.
  • Page 12 64. Position the liftgate scuff plate to the liftgate door sill and engage the retaining tabs that secure the scuff plate to the door sill. 65. Position the locating tabs on the bottom of the D-pillar trim panel into the slots in the top of the quarter trim panel, both sides.
  • Page 13 70. Position the locating tabs (2) on the bottom of the upper C-pillar trim panel into the slots in the top of the quarter trim panel, both sides. 71. Rotate the top part of the trim panel into position and install the screw, both sides.
  • Page 14 76. Align the retaining tabs on the door sill scuff plate with the retaining clips in the door sill and engage the retaining tabs that secure the scuff plate to the door sill. 77. Snap the lower glove box hinges (2) over the pivots (1) and rotate up.

    SDARS ANTENNA DAKOTA PROCEDURE STEPS: 1. Disconnect and Isolate the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the two screws (3). 3. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, separate the four retaining clips (1) and remove the bezel (2). 4. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the bezel. 5.
  • Page 19 6. Disconnect the electrical connectors and antennas and remove the radio. 7. Open the glove box and squeeze the stop tabs inward. 8. Lower the glove box and release the hinges (1) using a twisting motion and remove the glove box. Club Cab 4/1/2008 K6860274 Rev.
  • Page 20 9. Remove the two plastic push-pin retainers (2) that secure the outer front seat belt retractor cover (1) to the outer front seat belt retractor (3). 10. Raise the retractor cover upward to disengage the two locator pins on the inside top of the inboard retractor cover from the locator holes in the top of the retractor.
  • Page 21 13. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the retaining tabs (2) that secure the rear door sill scuff plate (1) to the retaining clips in the rear door sill and remove the scuff plate. Club Cab, Without Rear Jumper Seats 14.

Determine which side of the vehicle the headliner will be removed from and disconnect the seat belt turning loop and height adjuster (3) from the upper roof rail (1) on that side of the vehicle as follows: • Remove the two screws (2) that secure the seat belt turning loop and height adjuster bracket (3) to the upper roof rail (1) and position it aside.
  • Page 23 29. Fold the seating cushion (7) up. 30. Remove the jack assembly. 31. Remove the fastener (4) securing the center seat belt (3)(for left seat removal). 32. Remove the fasteners retaining the seat to the cab floor. 33. Unsnap the trim cover (4) from the rear seat belt turning loop (3).

  • Page 25 57. Clean and prep the area for the antenna. 58. Install the satellite antenna. Tighten to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.). 59. Connect the antenna harness to the antenna. 60. Secure the antenna wire to the headliner and route toward the passengers side c-pillar.
  • Page 26 63. Route and secure antenna harness (1) along the HVAC harness (2). 64. Route and secure antenna up to the back of the radio. 65. Position the coat hook (1) through the headliner (3) and fully seat the base of the support to the roof panel. 66.
  • Page 27 73. Position the lower C-pillar trim panel (4) to the C-pillar and engage the retaining tabs that secure the trim panel to the C-pillar. 74. Keeping the inner bottom end of the upper C-pillar trim panel (2) away from the cab back trim panel, slide the upper retaining tab (1) of the trim panel into the hole in the C-pillar and engage the retaining tabs (3) that secure the trim panel to the C-pillar.
  • Page 28 82. Install the upper door striker trim covers (3) as follows: • Position the trim cover (3) to the headliner (2) opening around the door striker and engage the retaining tabs that secure the cover to the roof rail. 83. Seat the top of each of door seal to the door opening. 84.
  • Page 29 86. Position the inboard (1) and outboard (3) outer seat belt retractor cover halves around the seat belt (2) with the top of each half angled toward the other and engage the snaps that secure the two halves together. Then, close the cover around the seat belt. 87.
  • Page 30 89. Slide the upper retaining tab of the upper C-pillar trim panel (2) into the hole in the C-pillar and engage the retaining tabs that secure the trim panel to the C-pillar. 90. Position the seat belt turning loop (3) to the mounting hole in the upper C-pillar trim panel and install the screw (5) that secures the seat belt turning loop to the C-pillar.

  • Page 36 9. If the second row center seat belt lower anchor (1) is connected, access and unbuckle the lower anchor latch plate from the unique, keyed lower anchor buckle (2). Use an ignition key or a small screwdriver to depress the small latch release button on the anchor buckle 10.
  • Page 37 16. Release the clips and partially remove the right quarter trim panel. 17. Release the clips and remove both the right C and D- pillar trim panels. 18. Remove rear head liner push pins and rear dome lamp assembly. 19. Remove the both left and right 2nd row grab handle 20.

  • Page 46 7. Using a trim stick or equivalent, gently pry up on the center bezel. 8. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove from the vehicle. 9. Position the Instrument Panel (IP) hood up to access the radio mounting fasteners. 10. Remove the radio mounting fasteners (1). CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
  • Page 47 13. Open and lower the glove box door (2). 14. While pressing on both sides of the door (1), pull the door down until stops are disengaged from the lower IP panel. 15. Carefully disengage the bottom hinges and remove the glove box (2).
  • Page 48 18. Open the passenger side sliding door. 19. Using a trim stick or equivalent, gently pry up on the passenger side sliding door sill plate (1) and remove from vehicle. 20. Using a trim stick or equivalent, disengage the liftgate scuff plate retaining clips (1).

  • Page 50 44. Route connector through hole and set antenna in place. 45. Install fasteners and tighten to spec. 9 Nm (80 in-lbs.). 46. Connect antenna cable to extension cable and route cable down the right D-piller. 47. Secure the antenna extension cable to the vehicles body electrical harness.
  • Page 51 58. Position the upper D-pillar trim into the liftgate opening. 59. Connect the power liftgate D-Pillar switch and third row power folding seat switch electrical connectors (3) (if equipped). 60. Carefully engage the upper D-pillar trim end tab (5) into the rear header trim plate.
