Creating the buddy list
You can add contacts to your buddy list by entering a
name and number manually or by retrieving an entry
from Phonebook. You can also group your contacts.
To add a contact to the buddy list:
1. On the Messenger screen, select
2. Tap or press <Add>.
3. Tap or press <Yes> to open Contacts and select a
contact.
Alternatively, tap or press <No> and skip to step

4. To enter a new name and number, tap or press
<Edit>.
To use the current name and number, skip to step
7.
5. Enter a new name and tap or press <Done>.
6. Enter a number.
7. Tap or press <Save>.
To add a group to the buddy list:
1. On the Messenger screen, tap or press <Add>.
2. Enter a group name and tap or press <Save>.
3. When the created group highlights, tap or press
<Select>.
4. To add contacts to the group you want, follow from
step 2 of the procedure for adding a contact.
On the Messenger screen, scroll to one of the groups
.
you have created and tap or press <Options> to
access the following options:
•
Edit: edit the messenger group.
•
Erase: erase the selected messenger group.
Starting a conversation
Once you have created your buddy list, you can start a
conversation by sending an invitation to the contacts
with whom you want to talk. You can also start a
conversation by accepting an invitation from another
person.
To start a conversation by sending an invitation:
1. On the Messenger screen, select a group.
2. Tap or press <Invite>.
3. Tap or press <Check> to select buddies you want
to contact.
