Operating your Breville Jet Select Iron

Before first use
Remove any promotional material from the iron.
Remove any sticker or protective cover from the
soleplate.
When operating the iron for the first time, iron on an
old piece of fabric to ensure that the soleplate and
water tank are completely clean.
When the iron is used for the first time some vapour
may be emitted. After a short while however, this
will cease. The vapour is due to the initial heating of
the materials used in the iron. It is safe and will not
harm the performance of the iron.

Setting the temperature

Step 1.
Before commencing ironing, sort all items to be -
ironed according to the fabrics requiring the coolest
temperatures first and then work through to the
fabrics requiring the higher temperatures.
Step 2.
Stand the iron on its heel and ensure that the
temperature dial is turned to the minimum (MIN).
Step 3.
Plug the power cord into a 230/240V power outlet
and turn the power on.
THE JET SELECT IRON INCORPORATES A THERMAL SAFETY FUSE TO PROTECT THE IRON FROM
OVER-HEATING. HOWEVER THE IRON SHOULD NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED WHILE IT IS
CONNECTED TO THE POWER OUTLET. SPECIAL CARE SHOULD ALWAYS BE TAKEN WHEN THERE
ARE CHILDREN IN THE HOME/VACINITY OF THE IRON.
Step 4.
Select the temperature setting required by rotating
the temperature dial so that the desired setting is
aligned with the heating indicator light.
Step 5.
The heating indicator light will illuminate, indicating
that the iron is heating up. When the indicator light
goes out, the iron has reached the selected
temperature and is ready for use. The light will cycle
on and off as the thermostat maintains the selected
temperature.
The heating indicator light is sealed in a plastic
tube and does not come into contact with the
water in the water tank.
