    Your home theater Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome to Philips! To fully benefit from the support that Philips offers, register your home theater at www.philips.com/welcome. Main unit +/- (Volume) Increases or decreases volume. SOURCE Selects an audio/video source for the home theater. (Standby-On) Switches on the home theater or switches to standby mode.

    DIGITAL IN-COAXIAL Connects to the coaxial audio output on the TV or a digital device. DOCK for iPod Connects to a Philips Dock for iPod/iPhone. (See Quick Start guide.)     Choose your sound This section helps you choose the ideal sound for your video or music. SOUND SETTINGS / Press (Sound OPTIONS). Press the Navigation buttons (left/right) to access the sound OPTIONS. Sound experience Description AUTO VOLUME Sets a constant output signal at the speaker output.

    Change treble, mid and bass Change the high frequency (treble), mid frequency (mid) and low frequency (bass) settings of the home theater to suit your video or music. SOUND SETTINGS / Press (Sound OPTIONS). Select TREBLE, MID or BASS, then press Press the Navigation buttons (up/down) to adjust the frequency level.

    Press the buttons on the MP3 player to select and play audio files. Play from an iPod or iPhone By connecting and installing a Philips Dock for iPod/iPhone, you can use the home theater to play music, movies and photos from your iPod or iPhone.

    Select [Setup], then press OK. Select [EasyLink] > [EasyLink], then press Select [On], then press OK. You can now enjoy the following Philips EasyLink controls. One-touch play When you play a disc, the TV automatically switches to the correct channel.

    • [Component Video]: Selects the component video resolution. Copy- protected DVDs can display only 480p/576p or 480i/576i. • [Blu-ray 3D video]: Selects the 3-dimensional video output when you play a 3D video on your home theater. The home theater must be connected to a 3D TV through HDMI.

    Make sure that there is nothing between the speakers and the microphone to block the sound, and make sure that the room is quiet. For example, switch off your TV or radio, close doors and windows, and switch off the air conditioning. Don’t put the microphone on top of speaker.

    Multiview On Philips 21:9 Cinema TV (model 58PFL9955H/12), you can watch two video sources side by side. The sources can be: • video from your home theater, • TV broadcasts, and • Net TV. For information about how to set up multi-view, see your TV user manual.
