  • Page 3 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The GS40 is a completely self contained combustible gas leak detector designed to pinpoint gas leaks in the most demanding applications. An efficient and sensitive gas sensor is combined with solid state circuitry which provides an audible alarm that increases in pitch as the concentration of the gas increases.

    OPERATION 1. Install 4 alkaline AA batteries in the battery compartment as shown in- side battery compartment. 2. Turn the instrument ON by sliding the front panel switch to either the LO position as shown in Fig 2. This sets the instrument to its low sensitivity setting.

    MAINTENANCE The GS40 is a rugged instrument designed with the durability and reliability demands of the service industry in mind. Al- though no regular maintenance is required other than replac- ing the batteries, some care should be observed to ensure the maximum life and performance.

    All repaired products will carry an inde- pendent 90 day warranty. LS3000B and LS790B carry a 2 year warranty.   • Page 9 DESCRIPCIÓN El modelo GS40 es un detector de fugas portátil de avanzado diseño de estado sólido que permite encontrar las fugas más pequeñas de gases y vapores combustibles con eficiencia y rapidez. Indicación audible y visible permite al usuario locali- zar las fugas con precisión, ahorrando tiempo y recursos.

Ein leistungsfähiger Gas- Sensor, kombiniert mit einem äußerst stabilen Schaltsystem und ausgestattet mit einem hörbaren Alarmton entsprechend der austretenden Gaskonzentration.
  • Page 16 AREITSSCHRITTE 1. Legen Sie 4 Stück von den Alkaline AA Batterien in das Batteriefach ein gemäß dem Hinweis innerhalb von dem Batteriefach. 2. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein indem Sie den Schiebeschalter auf der Front- seite des Gerätes in die LO-Posi- tion schieben wie in Fig.2 zu sehen.

Obwohl keine regelmäßige Instandhaltung durchgeführt werden muss außer das regelmäßig die Bat- terien gewechselt werden müssen sollten Sie jedoch dieses Gerät immer sorgfältig behandeln um eine maximale Lebens- Dauer zu erhalten.

    DESCRIPTION GÉNÉRALE Le GS40 est un détecteur de fuite de gaz combustible, totale- ment autonome et destiné à identifier les fuites de gaz dans les applications les plus exigeantes. Un capteur de gaz efficace et sensible est associé à un circuit solide qui fournit une alarme sonore qui augmente en hau- teur quand la concentration du gaz augmente.
