TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Ride Defensively Always pay attention to other vehicles around you and do not assume that other drivers see you. Be prepared to stop quickly or perform an evasive manoeuvre. Make Yourself Easy to See Make yourself more visible, especially at night, by wearing bright reflective clothing, positioning yourself so other road others can see you, signalling before turning or changing lanes and using your horn to alert other road users when necessary.

Inspect your motorcycle before every ride and perform all recommended maintenance, never exceed load limits and do not modify your motorcycle or install accessories that would make your motorcycle unsafe.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Riding Precautions Protective Apparel Make sure that you and any passenger are wearing an approved motorcycle helmet, eye protection and high- visibility protective clothing. Ride defensively in response to weather and road conditions. Helmet; Safety-standard certified, high-visibility and appropriate size for your head. Should fit comfortably but securely, with the chain strap fastened.

It is vitally important that the motorcycle is successfully managed through this running in period as it will have a direct impact on the service life motorcycle.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Brakes Observe the following guidelines: Avoid excessively hard braking and downshifting. Sudden braking can reduce the motorcycle’s stability. Where possible, reduce speed before turning; otherwise, you risk sliding out. Exercise caution on low traction surfaces. Tyres can slip more easily, and braking distances are greatly increased.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Engine Braking Engine braking helps slow your motorcycle down when you release the throttle. For further slowing action, downshift to a lower gear. Use engine braking with intermittent use of the brakes to reduce speed when descending long steep slopes.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Riding in Wet Weather Conditions In wet or foggy weather, there will be low visibility and poor adhesion between the tyres and the road. Check tires for wear and check there is sufficient tread for optimum grip. When riding into low visibility or on slippery roads, keep to a safe speed and do not accelerate, brake or turn suddenly.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Parking Try to park on a firm level surface. If you must park on a slight incline or loose surface, park so that your SINNIS motorcycle cannot move or fall over. Make sure that high-temperature part cannot come into contact with flammable materials.

Fuel Tank Maximum Capacity: 14 Litres / 3.07 Imperial Gallons Refuelling Turn off the engine when refuelling, then turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Ignition off Turn the ignition key anti-clockwise to turn the power off. Steering lock With the handlebars at full lock to the left, turn the key anti-clockwise to engage the steering lock.

Hi-Beam Switch Move switch to this postion to use the Headlight High-Beam function. Low-Beam Switch Move switch to this positon to return the Headlight to the Low-Beam function.

If the clutch system cannot fully engage or disengage (often referred to as ‘clutch slip’) then it is advised that you take the motorcycle to your nearest dealer for professional adjustment.

If the motorcycle is unable to start after 5 seconds, allow at least 10 seconds before the next attempt to start the motorcycle.

Select 1 gear by pushing down on the gear selector leaver on the left side of the motorcycle. (There should be an obvious feel of the gear engaging) Put your right foot on the rear brake.

Maintenance is the owner’s responsibility. Be sure to inspect your motorcycle prior to each ride and perform periodic check specified in the Maintenance Schedule.

Maintenance work should be performed in accordance with SINNIS standards and specifications by properly trained and equipped technicians. Your dealer meets all of these requirements. Keep an accurate record of maintenance to help ensure that your motorcycle is properly maintained.

Electrical system Check dashboard and electrical switches are functional. Battery Check battery visually for leaks and any corrosion.

When ordering coloured components, specify the model name, colour and, if possible, code mentioned on the colour label. Battery Care Your SINNIS motorcycle has a maintenance-free type battery.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Fuse Replacement Fuses protect the electrical circuits on your SINNIS motorcycle. If something electrical on your motorcycle ceases to power on or loses function, check for and replace any blown fuses. To replace a fuse, first ensure the ignition of the motorcycle is in the off position. Identify the blown fuse and replace with a fuse of the same rating.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Inspection & Replacement of the Engine Oil WARNING Engine oil is harmful to the environment and should be disposed of properly. Consult your local authorities for guidance on where to dispose. Checking If the engine is cold, idle the engine for 3 to 5 minutes.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) WARNING Do not overfill above the upper-level mark. Check the oil level after each pouring of oil into the engine. Multiple short top-ups with checks are better for ensuring the correct oil level, rather than one large top up.

It is advisable to get the engine oil replaced by a professional at your local Sinnis dealer, where possible. If carrying out this procedure yourself, use the engine oil recommended by your Sinnis dealer.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Drive Chain Inspection, Adjustment & Cleaning Check the drive chain slack at several points along the chain. If the slack is not constant at all points, some links may be kinked and binding. Have the chain inspected by your nearest SINNIS dealer.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Adjusting the Drive Chain Slack Adjusting the chain requires special tools. If you do not have access to these tools you should have the drive chain slack adjusted by your nearest SINNIS dealer. Shift the transmission into Neutral. Stop the engine.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Cleaning the Drive Chain Dirt should be cleaned from the chain using non-metallic bristled brushes and fabric cloths. Cleaning of the chain should be completed using chain-specific cleaning products. If cleaning the chain while installed in the motorcycle, be sure to wipe down any excess cleaning products from the brakes, tyres, wheels, engine and swingarm.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Inspecting the Drive Chain Sprockets If either of the sprockets on the motorcycle show any signs of wear or damage, they should be replaced by your nearest SINNIS dealer. WARNING Use of a new chain with worn sprockets will cause rapid chain wear.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Tyre Condition Visually inspect your tyres and use an air pressure gauge to measure the air pressure at least once per month or any time you think the tyre does not look sufficiently inflated. Always check the pressure of your tyres when the tyres are cold.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Tread Depth Inspect the tread wear indicators. If they become visible, replace the tyres immediately. WARNING Riding on tyres that are damaged, excessively worn or improperly inflated can cause the motorcycle to perform inconsistently or unexpectedly and could result in a crash and harm to the rider, passenger or other parties.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Air Filter Cleaning A dusty and/or blocked air filter element will cause the motorcycle to operate with lower-than-expected power output, high fuel consumption and/or a high-fuel concentration of exhaust gas. The air filter should be inspected and cleaned periodically, as per the recommended maintenance schedule.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) WARNING Do not clean the air filter components with any substances with flammable or alkaline properties. Do not start the motorcycle without the air filter system installed correctly. The poor running conditions for the engine may result in abnormal wear to engine components.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Spark Plug Inspection & Adjustment Spark plugs should be replaced according to the Maintenance Schedule. Use only the recommended type of spark plug in the recommended heat range. Disconnect the spark plug can from the spark plug.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Braking System Inspection & Adjustment Checking the Brake Fluid Place your motorcycle in an upright position on a firm, level surface. Check that the brake fluid reservoir is horizontal and that the fluid level is between the LOWER and UPPER markings.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Inspecting the Brake Pads Check the condition of the brake pad wear indicators. The pads need to be replaced if a brake pad is worn to the bottom of the indicator. If necessary, have the pads replaced by your nearest SINNIS dealership.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Inspecting the Brake Lever Free-Play Front Brake Measure the distance the lever travels to the point that the brake begins to engage. From its natural position to this point should be in the range of 10-20mm.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) CAUTION After adjusting transmission chain or dismantling rear wheel, recheck and adjust the free stroke of rear brake pedal. After adjusting rear brake, must read just rear brake light switch. Also check whether the wheel can rotate freely.
TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Checking the Throttle With the engine off, check that the throttle rotates smoothly from fully closed to fully open in all steering positions and throttle free play is correct. If the throttle does not move smoothly, close automatically, or if the cable is damaged, have the motorcycle inspected by your nearest SINNIS dealer.

TERRAIN 125 (MY21 EURO5) Adjusting the Clutch Lever Free play Upper Adjustment Pull back the rubber dust cover. Loosen the upper lock nut. Turn the upper clutch cable adjuster until the free-play is 10-20mm. Tighten the upper lock nut and check the free-play again.

Any aftermarket electrical items fitted, such as GPS, anti-theft alarms or additional lighting may overload the motorcycle’s electrical capacity and potentially cause fire.

A clean motorcycle makes it easier to spot potential problems. In particular, seawater and salts used to prevent ice on road promote the formation of corrosion on metallic parts.

Do not direct water into the exhaust system. An exhaust system blocked with water can prevent the engine starting and will also corrode internal components.

If you know that you will not be riding your SINNIS motorcycle for an extended period, follow the below guidelines: Wash your motorcycle and wax all painted surfaces (except Matt painted surfaces). Coat metallic components with rust-inhibiting oil.
