    1. Before beginning the measurements, Bluetooth pairing is required for each device. For pairing the devices, see Bluetooth pairing. 2. Select the Nemo Walker Air button from the Apps view by tapping Apps on your Nemo Walker Air device. 3. If you want to use scripts, tap the Script button ( ) on the toolbar.

    This manual explains how to set up and operate the Nemo Walker Air measurement tool software developed by Anite Finland Ltd. Nemo Walker Air is a portable engineering tool for measuring and monitoring the air interface of digital networks. The supported network standards are: GSM, WCDMA, HSPA, LTE, CDMA, EVDO, WIFI (HETNET) Nemo Walker Air is an effective tool for tracing mobile networks.

    Traffic Safety Do not operate Nemo Walker Air (or any test device) and drive at the same time. Remember, traffic safety comes first. Note that in some countries it is illegal to drive a car and operate a device at the same time.

    1. Uninstall the old Walker Air version by going to Apps/Settings/More/Application Manager and tapping Uninstall. 2. Connect the USB cable to the Nemo Walker Air device and to the computer where you have the Nemo Walker Air installation files. 3. Select Disk drive/Media device (MTP) as the connection type.

    Uninstall on your Nemo Walker Air. 2. Start a browser on your Nemo Walker Air device and log in to the Nemo User Club. You must have a valid Technical Support Agreement and valid access codes (username and password).

    14        N em o WA LKER  A IR  User  M anu a l  1. In Nemo Walker Air, go to Menu | About and tap Browse licenses. The License Browser view opens. 2. Tap Refresh to refresh the list of available licenses for Nemo Walker Air.
  • Page 15 Note that it is advisable to name devices so that it is easy to distinguish them from each other. Start running Nemo Walker Air by selecting the program from Applications. When Walker Air is started, home view with shortcuts is displayed. The home view can be customized by the user to include the most used pages and shortcuts to them.

Slave units can be placed on the screen by tapping and holding on each slot on the screen. All Slave units also have their own pages showing more detailed configurations.

    SE TUP      17     Note that Master and Slaves must use the same version of Nemo Walker Air. Upgrading all devices manually at the same time is recommended. You can now start using Nemo Walker Air. SLAVE OPTIONS To access Slave options go to Master control page.
  • Page 18 18        N em o WA LKER  A IR  User  M anu a l  Load Script enables you to load a script on a Slave. Read more about loading scripts under Scripted Application Testing. Set device label allows you to name the Slave. Set device color allows choosing an individual color for each slave.

    CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL GPS Nemo Walker Air uses an internal GPS receiver by default. If you want to use an external GPS, you have to pair a Bluetooth GPS with the phone. Turn the Bluetooth GPS on. If you have several devices, switch on only one GPS at a time to avoid an incorrectly paired system.

    20        N em o WA LKER  A IR  User  M anu a l  DURING MEASUREMENTS You can browse the various views by swiping the touchpad with your finger or by tapping the page header and selecting from the list of displays in the popup shortcut menu. If a page has several views, you can move between the views by dragging your finger vertically across the screen.
