  • Page 56 8 Care and maintenance 8.10 Descaling How it functions Whenever steam is produced, depending on the hardness of the local water supply (i.e. the limescale content of the water), limescale is deposited in the boiler. The appliance automatically detects and indicates when descaling is necessary. The cleaning programme guides you step-by-step through the descaling process.
