You just purchased a splitter box to be used with the
you. The PC(I)4000 offers you 4 serial ports connectivity to connect your software application to your industrial devices
through Serial protocols like Modbus, Uni Telway, 3964, ...
By default, the PC(I)4000 is delivered with four RS485/422 electrical interface modules (product ref. "5RS485") pre-mounted
on the card.
Follow the instructions below for a correct electrical interface modules mounting.

PCI4000 or PC4000 card
The card may be mounted with 5RS485, 5RS232,
5BC20 5PFB485 modules. If this is the case and
you intend to use BR4000, BX4010 or BX4010R,
read the following instructions.

If you intend to use applicom
card with a BR4000, BX4010 or BX4010R splitter
box, please read this carefully.

: Interface modules used to determine the transmission type of
each channel :
1. a with BR4000 or without splitter box.
Ref. : 5RS232, 5RS485, 5BC20, 5PFB485(pre-mounted by
default)
Ref. : 5PFB485 : RS485 PROFIBUS (optional for fiber optics
transmission).
1. b with BX4010 / BX4010R splitter box.
Junction module (3AMP5) to be mounted on the card.
The other electrical interfaces (5RS485, 5RS232, ...) must be
plugged on the BX4010/BX4010R box.
: Male 37-pin Sub D for BR4000, BX4010 or BX4010 connection.
By default, the card is pre-mounted with 4*5RS485 electrical
modules.

BR4000 is a "Ready to use" splitter box and will not require specific module
mounting.
