• Place the appliance on a table or any other flat and even surface. It is recommended to use a
heat-resistant and easy to clean pad underneath, also to protect the table or tablecloth from
fat sprinkles etc. The power cord must not dangle to prevent accidental pulling down of the
appliance. Never pull the cord to move the appliance.
• The appliance must only be used with both plates properly installed.
• Use the product in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides of the
product to allow adequate air circulation.
• Do not place the product on or near a gas or electric burner, or inside or on top of a heated oven
or other heat source.
• Do not touch hot surfaces of the product. Do not move the product while it is plugged in. Allow
the product to thoroughly cool before handling it.
• Do not line the Drip Tray with aluminum foil or any other material.
• Do not place or drop the product into water or other liquids. If the product falls into water,
immediately unplug it from the electrical outlet. Do not touch or reach into the water.
• The temperature of the accessible surface may be very high when the appliance is in use.
Never touch the surface during use.
• Make sure (that) the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloths, etc, when it is in use, as a fire might occur.
• Be extremely careful, as oil or fat preparations might catch fire when overheated.
• When using the appliance under an extractor hood, keep a safe distance between the hood
and the appliance.
• Use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked only.
• Unplug the appliance immediately if a crack appears on the hot plate and make sure to take it
to a qualified competent electrician.
• Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.
• Make sure (that) the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing.
• When preparing food with your raclette always use the wooden spatulas supplied with the
appliance or any other heat-resistant plastic spatula in order not to damage the non-stick coated
surfaces of the cooking plate and pans.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

• To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another high-wattage product
on the same electrical circuit.
• A short power supply cord is provided with this product. An extension cord is not recommended
for use with this product, but if one must be used:

The marked electrical rating of the cord must be at least as great as that of the product

Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang where it can be tripped over or pulled
unintentionally.
