Page 7: Before The Start
Speaker connection: The speaker on the LEFT is connected to the L Jack (16) on the back of TX-178. 1. Connect red cable of speaker to the red jack. 2. Connect black cable of speaker to the black jack. -

WiFi connectivity. 1. Plug in the power adapter to the back of the TX-178 and the other end to a power socket. The TX-178 powers on and starts up. - Page 9 ●The key symbol indicates that the network is password-protected. ●If the TX-178 does not find any WiFi networks and “No wireless Networks found” appears on the display, change the position of the TX-178 if necessary and check your WiFi router. Search again for WiFi afterwards.

(8) to add it. Press enter button (15) or the knob (12) to save the station as my favorite. The symbol appears in the top line of the display while the device is saving. The frequency display starts to run up as TX-178 scans the FM band. It stops when it has received a station. You may press on device or remote control to tune station manually.

Enter button. You can save up to 20 stations. Press PRESET, then press on the remote control or press MEMORY button on the device and use the Knob (12) to recall a saved station. Model: TX-178 Article No. 4973, 01/2022... -

Smartphone, PC or CD player to listen to music. NOTE: Under AUX mode, only vol–/vol+ work. By pressing Mute button (2) on the remote you can mute the TX-178 but the song plays along, because it is coming from an external device. Switch songs on the external device in AUX-mode. -

Once the devices have found each other, the radio will appear as “Technaxx TX-178“ on the Bluetooth device. Select Technaxx TX-178 from the list. If you are required to enter a PIN code, enter 0000 (four zeros). Certain devices may also require you to approve the connection. -

NOTE: Videos or pictures cannot be shown on the TX-178. NOTE: If you are not able to see your shared media folder on the TX-178 UPnP mode, check whether media streaming is enabled under Windows. Therefor go to: “Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Media Streaming Options”... -

After that press the WPS/QSS button your router within 120seconds. connection between the router and TX-178 will then be configured automatically. Manual Configuration: Set the wireless configuration manually. You can choose DHPC (IP assigned automatically) or manually input IP address for wireless network connection. -

WiFi-Router. Select you required WiFi-Router. Setup PIN for APP: Enable the PIN for App to secure the access to the TX-178. The App asks you to enter the shown PIN shown on the TX-178. When the function is disabled everyone with the App in the same WiFi network can control the TX-178. -

If no network is connection in one minute, the alarm will change to melody automatically. NAP Alarm: Set a time between 5-120min to automatically set the TX-178 into standby mode. To stop the alarm press Enter to Snooze it for further 5minutes or press the button to turn the alarm off. -
Page 22: Scheduled Playing
WiFi signal. Choose the power management timer (5/15/30mins) to set the duration of the radio to switch standby mode automatically when you are not controlling it. Choose “Turn Off” to ignore the power management function. Model: TX-178 Article No. 4973, 01/2022... -
Page 23: Sleep Timer
15/30/60/90/120/150/180 minutes. Once the time is set, there will be a bed icon with remaining minutes at the top right comer and TX-178 will turn to standby then. Weather TX-178 is able to display the current weather information under standby mode. First set your location or the location where the TX-178 is placed. -
Page 24: Playback Setup
Device System Information: Information about Version, Radio station and Wireless Info (WiFi connection) Rename (Technaxx TX-178): Here you can change the name of the device. This will influence the Bluetooth name and the UPnP name in the network. APP: Here you can download the free App AirMusic, by scanning the QR-code from the display. -

TX-178 when TX-178 and Smartphone with installed App are in the same network. Privacy: Shows the QR-code of the Privacy Policy of the mediaU company. Software Update If there is an updated software version on the server, the system will notify you when you return to the main menu. -

- Ensure that the Bluetooth feature is activated on your phone. - Check that the TX-178 is within 10m of your phone and that there are no obstructions between the TX-178 and the phone, such as walls or other electronic devices. -
